About Us

Founded on June 6, 1968, Roy Supply Company has proudly served the Gulf Coast oil, gas and marine industries for 40 years. The company was started in Harvey, Louisiana and remained at its Bark Road location until 2001.

Through the 70’s, 80’s and into the 90’s our primary line of work consisted of supplying and repairing starting and charging systems. Over time Roy Supply became a leader in the alternator and starter industry in Southeast Louisiana.

For over 4 decades we have operated one of the area’s largest repair/rebuild facilities for starters and alternators with a combined knowledge of over 100 years.

On August 29, 2001, Roy Supply moved into its current location at 2520 Engineers Rd in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. At our present location, we not only service the Harvey Canal corridor, but the entire metro New Orleans and gulf south region.

Our mission has always been to give our customers the best possible personal service and to ensure that all of our products are of the highest quality. Today we not only serve some of our original customers of 40 years, but also some of the largest marine companies in the world. As we move our third generation, family owned business into the future, we are committed to being a leader in the gulf coast starting and charging market.

On April 17, 2008, Roy Steen, founder of Roy Supply Co. passed away. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, co-workers and his many customers. His son, Jeff Steen and their employees will continue to provide the same great service that Roy had made the company known for.
